This Danish café is a real hidden gem. Strong Monmouth coffee, freshly baked ‘kake’ an ever-changing menu newly chalked up on their blackboard everyday, with mouth-watering specials that include the bacon and blue cheese breakfast butty. The casual, friendly service puts you right at home.

Very comfy and cozy little coffee shop. Popped in for a mid day recharge and was welcomed by friendly staff and a brilliant flat white coffee. Will be returning when I need to get out of the office to work with some banter in the air around me. My only issue, for people that want to do some work, is the tables are just about big enough to have a laptop on without a coffee on the side ..

Its true the coffee is amazing and i cant believe no one has mentioned the Rye bread which is the best ive ever tasted (and with a european mother ive had a lot) but id do have 2 gripes its sooo small that quite often i have to go elsewhere as theres no tables free (cant they move to the empty restaurant over the road??) and the specials menu and full menu sounds amazing but their vegetarian offerings are really limited which means i get no exiting new things to try.... although to be honest i'm happy to just have the bread....

@AllyPally You obviously aren't familiar with Scandinavian names then ;)
This is my favourite place in Muswell Hill. Great Monmouth coffee and inviting, clean and comfy atmosphere. The staff is probably the friendliest I've encountered in London. Gonna keep coming back for those damn fine flat whites.

Apart from the name which sounds like a sci-fi creature this place is excellent. What I love about it is that it harks back to when Muswell Hill had a lot more individuality in it's cafes & bars. The quality of the food and drink is great and the closeness of the tables encourages the sort of friendliness that this area is so good at.

The essentials, namely great coffee and an inviting atmosphere are both there. Add friendly service, plenty of cake and a cracking Danish bacon butty and Nyborg's ticks all the boxes. Personal favourite out of all local coffee spots.

The place is always full of customers, which says a lot in itself. Coffee served here is better than in Starbucks of Cafe Nero (they serve double-shots as standard it seems). Nice friendly atmosphere and everything reasonably priced - another huge improvement over some of the neighbouring cafes.

As many have already said this place is an absolute gem. A tiny, cosy and so very friendly place. The food is unexpectedly delicious and completely different to anything else in Muswell Hill. The coffee is also very good and the cake selection wonderful and fresh.
Once you add in the fantastically welcoming staff you really won't find a better place to spend a quiet Sunday afternoon in North London.

It's refreshing to find a cafe that does the simple things well and Nyborg's Kitchen is such a place. Friendly welcome, happy to talk about what's on the menu and decent service. The coffee was great and the Ebleskiver (Danish apple pancakes) were delicious. I will be inventing reasons to return as soon as possible.

Nyborgs is bloody brilliant. That Monmouth coffee is like rocket fuel in the morning and the owners are cute Scandis.
