The N10 Show - Monte Carlo, Ulysses and Down for the Count
By Muswellhm on 27 April 2012
Monte Carlo: Lisa Caswell and her friends are setting off on a bike ride on Sunday April 27 from the 02 to Monte Carlo. They are riding in support of two charities - Breast Cancer Care and Breast Cancer Haven. If you'd like to support them, you can on their Just Giving page.
Ulysses: We try and tempt you into reading one of the most difficult texts in English Literature, Ulysses. We talk to Toby Brothers from the London Literary Salon, who runs detailed sessions to help you through the book. We join this year's group in the middle of the chapter called Nausicaa.
Down for the Count: We end the show with some music from the 9 piece swing band Down for the Count. Mike Paul Smith talks about the band and we hear them play Superstition by Stevie Wonder. The band is playing on Friday May 4 at 8pm at the Crouch End Music Palace - to mark the beginning of the Crouch End Arts Festival.
